In VIC, there is Careless Driving

Manner or speed dangerous

But you could class many offences as 'without due care'. Such as failing to drive a sufficient distance behind a car, failing to give way, overtaking over solid lines......

Do you have a specific example?

I was just watching a English Police Show, all those things that you mentioned were covered by Driving without due care.

Thought maybe since we follow the English law system we had a similar one here.

If you intentionally and carefully run a red light, or cross double lines, it is not careless driving. Also if you intentionally run your car into another road user it is dangerous driving, not careless driving.
