Registration and Conditions of Use

Postby Hardy » Mon Dec 18, 2006 5:25 pm

This forum facilitates the discussion of issues relating to traffic law enforcement of a legal, technical or general interest nature, as well as more general transport and legal issues.

To post comments, please register as a user. It takes about a minute to register. Registering is free and anonymous. Click the register link above. You should have no problems registering if you use an Australian email address.

Registering
To reduce spam, visitors located outside Australia may need to send me an email seeking permission to register, as many foreign IP addresses are blocked. If you have any problems registering or posting to this forum, please send me an email so I can correct the problem. Some free email services are not eligible for registration. This is because spammers have been registering using free email services then they abuse the board with spam or try to harvest members' email addresses. For the same reason I've also banned all domains ending in .org, .biz, .info and .net (but not the .au versions of these) because 99% of those users were spammers. If you use a ".au" email address (e.g. @yahoo.com.au) or an address from an Australian ISP (e.g. Bigpond) you will have no problems registering.

Your email address can not be spammed if you make your email address invisible to other members. After you have registered you can hide your email address to prevent spam. Click the "User Control Panel" button at top of this page, go to "Board Preferences" and for "Users can contact me by email" click "no".

Some Forum Rules
Posts which promote any illegal conduct or which could be defamatory are not permitted and will be removed. Anything that looks like advertising will be removed. Links to external sites may be removed. I will not permit links or contact info in signatures and I may remove links you place within your profile. This forum is not here to host your publicity campaign. I often delete posts which offer stupid legal advice or opinions, or ask questions which are already answered elsewhere.

TrafficLaw Website
Many questions about motor traffic matters have already been answered on http://www.trafficlaw.com.au so you should check the FAQs on that site as they should answer most of your traffic law questions.
