So I I have been caught speeding at 42 Klms over the limit with an alleged speed of 100 in a 60 zone.
I look after my elderly parents and require my licence for their care as well as I travel to QLD on school holidays to see my daughter or pick her up and bring her back to Victoria for the holidays.
It was a momentary lapse of concentration were I actually thought it was an 80 zone but also didn't realise the speed I was allegedly detected at. I received a 6 month suspension, $661 fine and 6 demerit points which puts me right on the edge of my max allowed.
What are my options.
Cheers in advance for the answers.

Re: Speeding
There are no demerit points for that offence. So you can forget about that issue.
As for the 6 months licence suspension, the only thing you can do to avoid that is to lodge a court election to take the case to court.
See http://trafficlaw.com.au/fines.html#object
Once you have the court papers in about 3 months time then make an appointment to see me.
