What a load of bullocks!
You can't get demerit points on a bicycle, not even in W.A.

He should come over to Vic. I exceed 56kmh pretty much every time I get on the bike, as do many cyclists. I've done over 100kmh on the bike - but not in a 40 zone. I've often ridden past police doing speed checks who delight in calling out your speed as you go by - as if we don't already know by looking at the speedo.

It was the fastest speed of a bicycle the officer had ever recorded in 28 years of policing.
