Points

Postby Jarrod SS » Sun Sep 15, 2013 6:44 pm

Hello,

I have recently lost my license for 6 months, was allegedly doing 38 kays over limit in a hundred zone and then 24 kays over in hundred zone. The 38 kays over is a mandatory 6 month loss. This is a total of 9 points plus I had 8 points accrued already over previous 2 years. I did not hand in my license to Vic roads as I was supposed to but will do this coming week. I have been of the road since May 28 when the ban took affect but am wanting to qualify for the Option 1 situation if I can come November 28. Can I do this or will VicRoads punish me further for not surrendering license when supposed to? Any advice would be great.

VicRoads don't punish for anything. All they can do is send you the demerit points option letter. The police might fine you for not surrendering your licence if you go down to the police station and hand yourself in.
