SA: Demerit Points for illegally parking a disabled spot

South Australia will soon implementing demerit points for drivers that illegally park in disabled parking spot.

This to me seems like a abuse of demerit points scheme in South Australia, as the scheme here is only intended to include offences where it's likely to cause a crash. I don't see how illegally parking in disabled spot is going to cause a crash. There a better ways of solving the issue of drivers illegally using these spaces, like towing the vehicle away.
